Wildlife Conservation : Protect Wildlife Protect Nature

in #life7 years ago

Conservation simply means practice of protecting wild plant and animal species and their habitats. The aim of wildlife conservation is to ensure that nature will be suitable for future generations to enjoy and also to recognize the importance of wildlife and wilderness for humans and other species. Many nations have government agencies and NGO's dedicated to wildlife conservation, which help to implement policies designed to protect wildlife.

Let’s Imagine a world with barren trees in overgrown fields. The only sound to be heard is the wind blowing through the tall grass. A world once full of life now lays empty because of extinction. This is the result of a world that failed to understand the importance of wildlife conservation. Why is wildlife so important? What steps need to be taken to preserve wildlife? How can one become involved in wildlife conservation? These are all important questions that need to be persued in order to help maintain the delicate ecosystem on Earth. Wildlife plays a vital role in this brittle ecosystem and without wildlife the human race would not survive.
The initial step in wildlife conservation is understanding why wildlife is vital to the ecosystem in the first place. Earth is one immense ecosystem. According to Inamullah Khan from Environmental News, wildlife plays an important role in the world's ecosystem. Inamullah Khan states that wildlife is the key to six parts of the ecosystem: "ecological value, economic value, recreational value, scientific value, social value, and aesthetical value. Inamullah Kahn explains that "ecological value is the interaction of wildlife in nature. The ecosystem relies on conformity between all species. Without this equity balances would shift leading to disunity and eventual degeneration of the ecosystem. "Food chains" would become altered leading to the upset of the natural sequence of life.
As we know major dangers to wildlife are Climate change, Unregulated Hunting and poaching, pollution, Over-exploitation of resources, deforestation and over population.
Numerous independent non-profit organizations promote various wildlife conservation causes. According to the National Wildlife Federation, wildlife in the United States gets a majority of their funding through appropriations from the federal budget, annual federal and state grants, and financial efforts from programs such as the Conservation Reserve Program, Wetlands Reserve Program and Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program. Many NGOs exist to actively promote and are involved with wildlife conservation.
Wildlife conservation has become an increasingly significant practice due to the negative effects of human activity on wildlife. We young stars individually should come forward to protect wildlife and nature.
