de·pres·sion //dəˈpreSH(ə)n//
noun

  • feelings of severe despondency and dejection.

For me depression is a strong word with deep meaning. It can be extreme sadness, fatigue, hopelessness, emptiness and worst, suicidal attempts. So what to do when you think you are depressed? Here are some tips.

  • SEEK FOR HELP
I know the feeling when you feel worthless or hopeless but please whenever you feel hopelessness, always seek for help, in your friends or in your family. YOU ARE IMPORTANT! Always remember that!ask-for-help-15-self-care-activities-that-anyone-with-depression-should-do-often-healthista.jpg

  • TALK TO A PSYCHOLOGIST OR SCHOOL GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
If you worry that these people may not understand you, I assure you they will. Sometimes the things we don't understand to ourselves can be understood by others. These people will help you, and always remember that mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of.143467767-640x640.jpg

  • AVOID BEING ALONE
Most of the time, when a person is alone that's when the mind strikes bursting different ideas. When you are depressed, there's a tendency that you'll overthink everything. As much as possible, go out with your friends or hangout with your family. tumblr_p5mwpb1w0v1s8lxn4o1_640.jpg

Lastly,

  • CUT OUT TOXIC PEOPLE
Don't be afraid to lose some people in your life especially the toxic ones. It's okay to have new friends, it's okay to lose some friends. As long as the people surrounds you makes you happy, that's what matters. Remember to love yourself first.

Yes, more often people think they're the only ones who've depression, that is why they prefer to be quiet by this theme, during it can be freeing to talk about problems and to realize the other person know these problems too.

Sometimes it's freeing for both of them, who thought before it's better not to annoy the other one with this problem.

I agree, I think the first step to get out of this situation is to accept it and open this thing up. Though, if you're depressed it is hard to talk to people but still, only you can heal yourself :) 😘

Nice
