Your Faith Will Be Tested

I woke up this morning and on Facebook, I was listening to a short clip of this Minister of God sharing on God testing an individual. Amazingly, it was just one of those moments in life where someone is sharing something and you are like did he/she peep into my life? What he was saying was exactly what I have experienced in the past and just experienced recently.

When God makes a promise to you, that of blessing, the way he goes about is always strange and unfanthomable to man. For example, look at Abraham's case. A man who struggled so hard for many years to have a child. Yet he was promised by God to be a father of many nations. That does not make sense right or how could it be then. As if that's not enough, when he finally got a son, the same God asked him to go offer him as a sacrifice.

This is one of those moments you look up to God and ask if HE is really sure of what he is saying. That is the strange way of God. He acts sometimes in ways we can comprehend. Most at times, he is testing us to see just how faithful we can be. In my journey with God, every time a test like this presents itself, it is a sign that he wants to release something to me. Even though I know this, it is not always easy to obey though. Imagine having very little to survive on, and God asks you to give it all to someone else?

When you look at it, it does not really make sense. Any reasonable person will ask you not to do that and give you so many reasons why you should not. That is why when it comes to obeying God, you must shut out the other voices and just obey blindly. It does not have to make sense for in you trying to make sense out of it sometimes just gives you unnecessary trouble. Learn to trust and obey, only then will you see the wisdom of God manifest greatly before you.

Your faith will be tested multiple times. Happy are they who pass the test by trusting and obeying God always even if it makes no sense or at the detriment of their own needs. They will not regret it and will be handsomely rewarded.
