I knew little of cryptocurrencies and nothing of this community until just last week, when who-knows-how I stumbled onto steemit — through some random tweet 45 minutes down my feed probably — so I’d like to ask a priori for your forgiveness should I misuse any technical terms.
Reading through the Steem bluepaper & whitepaper, I have to admit I was both amazed at, and jealous of, Ned Scott and Dan Larimer. Amazed because embedding a social network within a blockchain database to produce a structure that values quality over quantity is visionary work. Jealous because I had the same idea just last month, damn it.
Lucky for everyone, Ned & Dan were talented enough to bring such a platform into existence. And successfully at that. Top 5 most promising cryptocurrency of 2018? Sign me up.
The post-it note on which I jotted down my own blockchain epiphany is rotting in a drawer as I write, and I probably couldn’t find it should I wish to.
Having spent a few hours reading various blog posts, I can confirm that there definitely is quality content on the site. For example, I found this series of articles on a DMT breakthrough utterly fascinating. But I also found myself reading blatantly plagiarized work, and even wandered into heartwarming porn clips on d.tube. Nonetheless, I can’t wait to get to know you freaks!

I’ll often be writing about personal experiences, so if your fetish is to creep on strangers, you’ve come to the right place.
