If you can become aware that you are not your thoughts, nor your body, and center your awareness at the point of the observer, then you will come to realise the body walking around in this world is not you, but an avatar that you have been granted the power to direct.
From such a perspective, one can transcend the desire to change their experience, and begin to embrace their experience and seek to enrich it as much as possible. Will you observe from this new position, your body making the same mistakes over and over? Or will you become your own biggest fan, and help see the body you are attached to overcome its addictions and gain the power to exact your influence upon the Earth?
It's easy to loathe ourselves when we live amidst our thoughts, emotions, desires and memories. But through separating ourselves from the processes occurring in the body, we escape the feeling that they are us, and become invested in seeing the body overcome all problems and grow towards something profound.
So take a step back from who you've come to believe you are, and recognise it all as the baggage you've collected upon your journey. And from this new perspective of an observer and decider, become your own biggest fan and inspire yourself to make the most out of this experience you've been given.
