Forgive me if I'm posting late, my service provider has totally gone nuts. @ehiboss and I had to employ the services of another network provider. One doesn't really know what to do again with all these network providers this days. Anyway, this is my poem I'm submitting:
I got a good idea over a jug of ale
To the Caribbean islands I thought to sail
And there put my merchandise up for sale
My plans I’m sure were not to fail
My neighbour worked at the docks
We were close and he had the keys to my locks
He used to joke that his ancestors were Turks
And he used to help me when I had to shear my flocks
I thought of doing all the planning alone at first
But the different plans for the journey made almost burst
So, to my friend the transport of my good did I entrust
I guess I did this because he had earned my trust
A few days to the journey, I could not find my neighbour
But news came to me from the mouth of my tailor
He had gotten the news from his friend, a sailor
My friend has absconded with all the work of my labour
I guess this is the end
I perceived him to be a friend
Alas, he turned out to be a fiend
And now my dear, I swear I’m at a bend
