10 % of the population in Finland on anti-depressants

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Everyone feels down once in a while.
Life is full of ups and downs.

The sale of anti-depressants in Finland rose ten fold (10x) during 1990-2013.
Now there's over 400 000 people using this stuff on a yearly basis.
I think that's fucking crazy.
How can almost 10% of the population be that depressed that they need to be medicated for it?
By pharmaceuticals.
Not by therapy, or using natural alternatives to balance out your body and mind.

Why Finland?

Going on a little tangent, one might argue why particularly in Finland there's that many depressed people, I haven't crosschecked any other country's statistics regarding this.
A recently published study marked Finland as the Nr.1 "Nanny State".
Everything is controlled. And the people either don't seem to know or care, for life is fairly easy here for now.
Though the breadlines are getting longer day by day while the prime minister of the country is having fun with his fortunes and censoring the media.
In any case, there is next to no sunlight in Finland, which means the people here aren't getting their daily dose of vitamin D and that your system goes haywire when it's dark all the time, especially during winter time.
Your melatonin production has no idea what to do.

Most of the people that are on these drugs are also diagnosed with all sorts of other stuff, anxiety, different types of disorders.

But whatever the reason might be, I think it's telling us of a much bigger problem.

People aren't happy.
And that's because the system does not work for the majority of the people, people especially these new generations are waking up to the fact that they are basically slaves, confined to the whims of their government and them to central banks.
How about changing things so a large chunk of the population aren't depressed, rather than trying suppress the issue by drugging the people.
It's easy to control people when you are holding the key to their happiness.
And in this case, that is literal.

The natural alternatives

Research the subject, if you're truly interested, it's extremely interesting.
I might actually write about Kratom in the coming days, I've yet to try it for myself as it's fairly hard to acquire now.
Yes, Kratom is just one of many, but it's been a hot topic for a while now

I am supposed to eat at least 3 different kind of drugs to be "normal" and to work.. I refused to take those drugs so they canceled my treatment. Just like that, no other option.

Now I smoke cannabis when I'm not working or driving and I am completely fine and able to work normally. Finnish healthcare is nothing but fake doctors and drugdealers !
