It's not a stupid question at all! Discord is a chat service where you can connect with other Steemians. Since you are new, I very highly recommend joining the Minnow Support Project on Discord.

sorry but how do i find gmuxx and swelker in the discord chat? discord says i can just find people through their 4 digit tag....
