Jaiz' Friday Dispatch No. 1

in #life8 years ago

Hello, my fellow Steemians. Welcome to the first ever Jaiz' Friday Dispatch. I plan to do this post weekly if God permits it so that I can share with you what happened to me during the course of the week. Any comments that catch my attention will also be discussed in these posts. So, if you want me to take a look at something or have something to ask me then just comment it down below.

It has been a very hectic week for me and I apologize for the lack of content. I am still debating with myself on what should be the 5th lesson for the "Lessons I Learned While Doing Photography (LILWDP) No. 2" and that hopefully will be settled this coming week. Speaking of LILWDP, I would once again like to thank everybody who curated, upvoted, resteemed, and commented on that post. I was very overwhelmed by the level of response that that post has garnered. And for those people who have not seen that post yet, please visit it here https://steemit.com/photography/@jaizanthony/life-lessons-i-learned-while-doing-photography-part-1.

For the people who commented and liked the night/ long exposure photo in LILWDP 1, I am excited to say that due to your response I took out my camera and tripod once again into the night and looked for a new place to do night photography. I plan to do a separate post on that adventure and let's just say that I ran into some unexpected problems. Anyway, I'll give you guys a taste of what I was able to capture with a preliminary edit below.

Night Flyover [Preliminary Edit]; I walked on the side of the road to where I can get a shot of the flyover and there are some other locations I shot from in this session so look forward to that in the upcoming post.

As you guys know, I have a full-time job. And here in the UAE, the employment contracts are renewed every two years. Unfortunately for me, my contract renewal time has come once again and I am not confident that my company will renew my contract. I have been a bit stressed about that, and it is a part of the reason for the lack of content. I would like to ask you guys to share what you guys do to combat stress in the comments below.

Well, what else happened? Let me see... I have been hooked on a mobile game this last couple of days. It's a free-to-play action game called Eternium by Making Fun, Inc. Very reminiscent of Diablo and Path of Exile and speaking of those games I will check the updates on those games and will probably report on those either next dispatch or the next after. More on Eternium, you control your character and he is joined by up to 3 followers which you can control 1 skill for each. You can either go through the storyline or farm levels and better items in so-called "Trials" which is suspiciously like raids. You have a choice of 3 heroes to play; the warrior, the bounty hunter, and the mage which can either be a boy or a girl. Anyone familiar with RPG games will know the differences between each of these classes. Oh, the bounty hunter is a bit cooler as he is equipped with pistols. Guess which character I made first? Lol. Anyway, the skills of each hero and their followers can be developed further by the game designers to be more tailor fitted but some of them are good enough as they are at the moment. The special in-game currency that lets you open locked loot chests, open up follower slots, add skill slots, add inventory space, buy legendary gear, change an item attribute, finish your upgrades and crafting faster can either be bought with real money or can also be collected from the monsters that you kill. The input is also very rewarding as you draw signs to do skills and tap to interact. Let me just say that the game is very entertaining, at least for me, for a mobile game and if you are a fan of action games then you might want to check it out.

Moving on other matters this week, I have been closely following the performances and the results of America's Got Talent. America has voted for a winner last night and I have to say that the level of talent this season was just overwhelming. I was rooting for little Angelica Hale and I am a bit sad and a bit relieved that she did not win. Why relieved you ask me? Well now that she didn't win, she has not been tied to a specific contract but she is free to choose what contract to take among the numerous ones she is getting right about now. I would like to talk about Angelica's performances in detail but I will leave that to @Kennyroy. Anyways, all the finalists were all pretty good and Darci Lynne deserves the win so congrats to her.

And I think on that point, I will close this first Friday Dispatch. If you liked this post then don't forget to upvote, resteem, and comment any questions or topics you want me to discuss in the next dispatch. And with that, see you again soon.
