Do you think your life has unfolded in the same way as you thought it would? Okay! Don’t think this much. Let’s not talk about the twists and turns of life. Tell me about today. Has your day come out the way you thought it would? No?
See, my dear! You plan out your days, months, years and even your lives to the best of your abilities. You map out your projects, goals, dreams, and vision in the best way possible and always try to take the best route towards them. The thing is your dreams, your plans and your stories never fail; there’s always something that you forget to plan on while mapping out your career, life or goals. Life always throws its ice balls at you. Nobody ever said that life is going to be easy. You just assume a straight line towards our destination and forget all the other things that come in your path. You forget to notice the little victories that you make each and each day while keeping yourself busy struggling for your final destination.
Little moments do matter
Yes, too many times in your life, you forget to notice the little moments and little details. You just tend to look for something bigger, something huge while ignorantly believing that only those big moments count. If you look closely, you will eventually realize that your life consists of too many beautiful and cute little moments with a few big, occasional and life-changing moments in between. You spend your whole time waiting for these revolutionizing moments to come and ignore all the other details that hold a lot of capacity to make your life a little more enjoyable, livable and comfortable while reaching towards your grand moments.
Let me tell you one thing, there no such thing as “little”. Every moment counts and every moment is precious that can never ever be repeated. You know, this is the essence of your living and your mindfulness that actually makes you aware of the fact that you are living in the present. Past is a place that you can never visit again and present is the time that you destroy while thinking about your future. Consider your life as a gift that is given to you for a very short period of time. So, you should not squander any moment either by reminding your painful memories or by agonizing over your future aspects. As soon as you realize that the little things and the little moments of your life are not actually “little”, you will master the art of living a splendid life.
Why you should celebrate your little moments
While mapping out the “grand plan” of your life, you unintentionally put the finish flag at the end and think that you’ll have a great celebration when you’ll reach there. No, it really should not be like that! This kind of planning will make you suffer a lot even though you reach your destination.
It is always better to enjoy your time and moments when you have energy and strength to do it rather than looking back at your life in your old age and saying that I should have lived more or I should have done more. So, just vow to yourself to live this fully beautiful and crazy world of yours to the fullest. Say yes to all the good opportunities that cross your pathway and worry less about the aftermath or outcome of the circumstances. Nothing, my dear, in this life is guaranteed. Focus on your journey, enjoy the winter nights, summer baths, your favorite ice-cream, and, most importantly, the sense of being free, alive, and wonderful.
Celebrating the little things or moments of your life does not require extra money and does not take a lot of your time. It is very easy to be in the present, stand there for a while and appreciate the thing that made you smile on your rough day. Believe me, it will make you feel alive and energetic once again. You will forget about all of your worries for a short while. You will feel life slipping through your fingers if you keep waiting for the next big event to occur in your life. Learn to live in the moment and celebrate whatever comes your way because it is always the little moments that make the story of your life worth-seeing.

When i was little i hated when ever my family went on vacation stuck in traffic. Now that i have my own family i cherish those days i get to sit together with my family when stuck in traffic. how weird that may sound?
