RE: Privilege: the "tool" that devises the phases of life

in #life8 years ago

A very interesting take on privilege. Sometimes I think of privilege as circumstance. Sometimes we can’t choose our circumstance - but we can choose our attitude. Gratitude determines our attitude. I recently heard a wonderful talk that quoted something attributed to Theodore Roosevelt; “Comparison is the thief of joy”. I agree in some aspects but comparison also pushes us to reach our potential. Talk Reference: https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2017/10/value-beyond-measure?lang=eng&cid=email-shared

This is one truth up here, gratitude is one energy pill with no side effects. For the myth about comparison, I still stand on my belief that our attitude towards it determines the outcome we get. Thanks man, you're an inspiration.
