Back in my statistical classes, we used to thrown coins and check if the side shows a head or a tail. This experience was latter developed into probabilities, where we could either identify the percentage or chance of which an event will or not occur. The funny part was that people could not understand the game and all they could ask was, why are we throwing the coins? And what do I need with these probabilities? I mean if the coin falls on a head, so what's next or what’s the use of the probabilities? Some did convey it to a gambling game and tending to analyse the direction of the future coin throw side.
What was the idea?
The idea was that, in everything there is always some probalities of occurrence. Theses can either be at a hundred, ten, fifty or any other percentage. The higher percentage was justified as a higher probability of occurrence. Any person who could not understand this principle, then had no chance to progress unto the statistical field.
However, we could set a maximum number of trials and check how many time the coin would fall either on the head or tail and the game was so amazing for probabilities studies. This served as a real life lesson, which simply means, we try and see what the future presents. Setting a high number of occurrences was the target and all amazing to see the target being reached.
Life can also simply being justified into a coin throw, you can either be the head or the tail or else assign some probabilities to be either successful or not. Some people do not work on their dreams and pretty happy of the inefficient outcome. Moreover, some work hard and assign great percentages to reach their goals. All that we can is to fight for what we deserve.
There is nothing as free lunch
True, nothing comes for free. Work, commitment and purpose makes it all. The power to make great impact at personal or community level makes this life a great treasure of humankind. Only the few can do that.
