β¨ Throwback to 10 October 2025, Sunway College Ipoh had the privilege of conducting the Empowering with the Right Shoes Workshop at Hotel Excelsior, Ipoh, during the 19th Kem Kepimpinan Pelajar Sekolah Conforming Malaysia.
This session brought together enthusiastic student leaders from across Malaysia, where we explored the DOPE Personality Types. Through this activity, students discovered their unique leadership styles, personal strengths, and communication preferences. The atmosphere was filled with energy and laughter as everyone realized that leadership is not about position or power but about understanding oneself and others.
For me, this workshop represented more than just another session. It symbolized growth, maturity, and the importance of multiplying what I have learned. When I first created Sprinting With The Right Shoes (SWTRS), the goal was to help students uncover their direction and potential. Over time, this initiative evolved into Empowering With The Right Shoes, a leadership-based extension that focuses on personality identification and empowerment.
Leadership, in my view, is never about keeping knowledge within. It is about expanding capacity, transferring skills, and equipping others to grow. Knowledge has value only when it is shared and applied to make a difference.
From conducting workshops alone to now mentoring and training new facilitators, I have witnessed how each trainer brings their own personality and passion while keeping the essence of empowerment alive. The journey is about sharpening, shaping, and strengthening leaders who will continue to influence others positively.
As I continue this journey, my vision remains clear: βTo create a ripple effect of empowered individuals who lead with understanding, empathy, and authenticity.β
