Interpreting Your Success: Just Fucking Do It.

Just do it.

Perhaps one of the greatest slogans in product branding of all time, a call to action for sports enthusiasts all over the globe, and subconscious motivation for beating your previous achievements in competitions. Just do it. Perhaps every now and again we need a light backside push in the right direction. The gentle reminder to stop the hesitation and Just Fucking Do It.

Let me preemptively paint a picture of success before this onion gets peeled back, absorb this photo below. This is Wassily Kandinsky’s first Abstact Watercolor. It was painted in 1910 and one of the first of its kind.

Success:

• It’s extremely abstract, much as this painting by Kandinsky. Success isn’t defined strictly by a definition but can take on so many forms and values dependent on the person whom seeks its grasp.
• As much as this painting is watercolors sloshed around a canvas to many, this was a major contributing factor to a push of artistic trend that we now see repeated in art. Kandinsky created a successful movement.

Stop Chasing The Idea

When we spend our whole lives in search of the Successful vision that we’ve been predisposed to since birth (you know that white picket fence), our quest in being successful becomes convoluted with what we’ve been spoon fed for ages.

The amount of time we spend searching for success often ends up counterintuitively stagnant in our ability to push forward. Just fucking do it. Create something new. Instill a new routine in your day. Read for an hour. It doesn’t matter what you accomplish as long as you succeed in doing so.

I realize that something so ambiguous as the idea of Success is tied tightly into a mathematical equation that can never be solved for and that all our little base hits can eventually turn into home runs. I know that my idea of success is not your idea of success. I know that our similarities are our ability to stop sliding sideways in our goals and finish them.

I’m thousands of words into a book that’s been in the process of being written for sometime. The irony is, I’d love for it to be Succesful. To me that means selling copies that help remind and motivate others to prevail over mediocrity. The irony is - I can never release it until I find other types of success or the book will never sell enough copies to quantify some type of “success”.

String your base hits together until you can hit your home runs. Don’t slow down in your ability
To create, manage, listen, and create forward change. Do make the world better with your abstract thoughts. Just fucking do it.

And document the process along the way.

Exactly! Why not pass down info to those who haven’t learned what you experiment with!
