❤️HAPPY TUESDAY❤️

I'm spending most of today on my own, well apart from 2 Furbabies a noisy Parrot and a tank of Turtles, its a perfect day. We did have some workmen earlier on fitting a new gate, they have gone now plus hubby has gone to Golf so just me and my pets plus watching Real Crime. I spend most of my time watching the Turtles whilst my pups are sleeping, Luna is cuddled up by my side,Mika is upstairs sound asleep on my bed.

Watching the Turtles helps me relax and stops me thinking about other things that are happening such as my pain, I'm comfortable and loving the peace and quiet. The Turtles are really chilled to, they are just floating and napping.

They see so relaxing to watch especially when they are chilled, its totally different when its feeding time, I have took over the feeding of the Turtles, gives me something to do plus I'm trying to train them to feed by hand a couple of times, they come to the top head stretched out of the water knowing I'm coming in with food, sometimes he little Turtle comes up just depends how active the big ones are as the poor little man gets pushed about a bit. He does hide in the log at times, its so much easier to feed him wren he is in there as there in a hole at the top of the log where I'll put his food.

We have 2 Cooter & 4 Musk Turtles, 3 arw adult the other is Baby Jack, he's so cute, he's hang a nap in the log. They all live together peacefully, we also have Pleck, Catfish plus other little fishes, along as the Turtles get fed the other fish are safe. The Turtles are feed on Mealworm, Prawns & Mussels plus a few green vegetable, when they have Vegetables they leave the tank in a mess.

I wish we had bought Turtles a lot sooner as they do live for a long time, Cooter turtles have a lifespan of 44 years whilst Musk Turtles up to 50 years. They do make good pets but have to be careful when handled as can give a nasty bite plus you must wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after touching or feeding them as there is a Salmonella risk, Musk turtles are best not handled as they can also scratch plus let of a nasty smell if stressed, they are also known as the StinkPot Turtles. Its such a shame as the Cooters have a grumpy old man face and the Musk have a smiley cute face.

The Turtles are fed, the Dogs are Fed, the Reef tank is getting fed now, me and hubby are fed and watered now all ready for the England football match vs Latvia. Fingers crossed 🤞

Thank you for visiting 💟💟
