Its been a while, life just seems to get in the way at the minute. I'm still dealing with the after affects of getting new windows and doors in, the company haven't finished the job properly and it's being really difficult getting them to finish the last bits. Then there's family problems, well problem that has took a while to sort out, its done now finally, walking away was and is the best option for us all. I know me, hubby and my daughter Nichola are enjoying the quieter side of life. No arguments just harmony and a happy family.
We are into our next home improvement, we are arranging a new kitchen, I want the kitchen stripped, walls skimmed, floor laid properly, extra electric sockets plus start the new rewiring, the whole house needs doing so starting in the kitchen then working our way through each room as we do it. We have come into a little extra money that will cover the kitchen and other work without getting into debt or having to wait until I've saved up.
Hubby is thinking about going back to work, not in construction, he's looking out for a hospital porters job, this will be a lot easier on him plus he wont have to work out in the cold or heat, not that we get much heat.
We have changed our days around, instead of just going out shopping on a Saturday we now do our food shopping on a Thursday keeping Saturday for real days out, going to different venues, enjoying a more peaceful day out that me, hubby and his mum in law can take easy and no rushing about. We are picking a different place every week getting up see more of the area we live in. There at a few lovely places that are close that I've never spent 5 minutes in, lots of little villages that are worth a visit.
Another thing we are doing is keeping our eyes and ears open for another dog. Since losing Geordie in December last year we have worked out that Luna our youngest pup will be left alone when we lose Mika, Luna has a lot of anxiety so means we can't leave Luna in the house alone when we go out shopping, one of us will have to stay behind to keep her company. We can't manage a pup but an older dog would be OK, we may have to have a look around the dog shelters, it's just a thought at the moment, we have a lot of talking to do.
Anyway that's a little catch up after me dissappearing, I'll be back again soon.
Thank you for visiting. ππ
That all sounds very positive. You must both be feeling a bit better after all the health problems. Long may it continue.
It certainly is, onward and upward π
