Today has been a tough one, we planned go give our house a thorough clean for Christmas making it easier to manage over the holidays. We all had our plans, me upstairs in the shower room, Nichola taking on the Kitchen and hubby doing the living room, hall, stairs and landing. Yeah he had a bit more than us to clean mainly because the living room has just been decorated, new carpets laid and new sofas so there wasn't much to do plus i changed the curtains.
I like the house cleaned thoroughly so we can all enjoy the holidays with not too much cleaning. Plus if we get any guests landing i don't have to panic. It always feels calming when the house is clean and tidy. Everything in its place...For a change. Now i can start planning on my last bits of shopping.
Tomorrow me and hubby are off to Sunderland to finish off his mum's present. Every year i put together a hamper of treats instead of buying her something she doesn't need or want. I fill a box of nice treats she can use saving her a few pounds plus giving her treats she doesn't usually buy herself. We are then coming home to drop hubby off then me & Nichola are off to town to buy the last bits. Dogs presents, Sprout the Parrots present and a few treats for different family members. Then all i need to do is go food shopping to buy all the fresh food we need. All this for 1 day..
I have also managed to do my Christmas Wrapping/bagging. We decided to cut back a lot this year as i can get a bit carried away buying for people, i have saved a nice little pot to put away for a rainy day.
I managed to get a lot into my day, i was that busy i forgot my bingo night. I sat down to play thinking it was 7pm when i usually stsrt playing then noticed it was 20 past 8. Nothing stops me having a few games at the weekend. Seems luck was on my side as i won a nice £70 that will be put away with my savings. I am going to bed a happy bunny for a change. House is clean and tidy, Wrapping the presents is done plus a nice win to finish off my day.
