Had a real bad day today, 1 step forward 3 steps back, fed up to the back teeth with life at the moment.
Looking forward to getting my shower room installed in 11 days all Thanks to my Steemit friends, thinking things are starting to look better then bang another problem comes and knocks the wind out of me.
I have a 13yr old car, I know ts getting on, its only got 80 thousand miles on the clock, its been running great lately until we put it in for its MOT today. The one thing thats let it down is the front headlights, they need replacing but cant get spares anywhere, tried all the scrap metal dealers, phoned all the Nissan shops, with it being so old theres no parts available.
Why I'm upset. Hubby hands his resignation in on Friday, hes a foreman for a building site for a firm he has worked 17 years for, he has passed all the exams, hes been doing this job for over 6 months and still no wage rise, the boss has held a carrot in front of him for months but keeps putting off increasing his wage even though he is being asked for and given fabulous feedback.
He was leaving Friday to take a week off before he goes back on the tools where he can double his weekly wage. We had hoped the car would make it through as it always does then in a couple of months we would have enough saved to buy a newer one.
Now we haven't a clue what to do.

I promise you everything will work out on it's own, right now it doesn't seem like so but you will see friend <3 Much hugs to you and I know that part will come up. Have you tried posting an ad in the wanted section of your local selling app or paper?

Searched everywhere, eBay are selling them for £150.

Oh Kaz, I'm so sorry to hear that and that's sod's law. Well, unless you can source a car from a family or friend until your car is repaired, then renting one is the only thing I can think of my dear. Sending positive vibes your way to both of you, as your hubby must be down too. Chin up.
Ill buy him a push bike lol good exercise for him now problem with parking spaces no petrol money, its a good idea but he wont think so haha

It seems that it is the law of life when I came wrong, other things will add to the evil, but to lose hope dear friend @ karenb54, you will see the planets align and begin to improve things. Not to desesperarse, as we say here God tightens but does not hang.
