Another day of sorting through box's a lot of box's, got rid of so many cardboard box's we were keeping for packaging for our Ebay listings. Taking the car 3 trips to the skip with another planned visit on Wednesday as the odd numbers on the cars registration are allowed to go tomorrow. So many black bags full of things we really don't need.
More rain today and strong winds knocking my Sunflowers over twice, i have had to jam it in between 2 large pots so as not to tip over. I would hate to loose my 3 Sunflower plants, they are growing really tall, i am watering them so to make the pot to heavy but the win is still pushing it over as its catching the Sunflowers big leaves.
I think someone needs to notify Mother Nature that she is messing with her seasons, we shouldn't be getting strong winds we should be getting blue skies, sun and warmth. Are you listening Mother Nature Send some sun.
I have a couple of large pots filled with Borage, these are Flowers the bee's love so i make sure i post quite a few as they grow quite tall and they grow loads of little blooms for the bee;s to work on. The wind is so strong its blown the Borage over, they are all lying on there side looking really sorry for themselves, i may have to add supports to keep them standing the right way.
Whilst hubby and Nichola were going to the skip i stayed at home to go through boxes of paperwork. There was a black bag of paperwork that needs burning, these all have personal information, its better to burn them then use the ashes on the garden.
We are in for a few good days or so says the weatherman, we have plans to sort the front garden out. I need to empty a few pots then add new plants, i am going to be using Lavender as supposedly cats are not supposed to like it so they will stop using my garden as a litter tray and the Bee's love Lavender so there the perfect plants for out there.
The small bedroom is nearly done, the bed that's in there will need stripping to let the mattress breathe. I will clean it with bicarbonate soda then hoover it then spray it with linen spray before re-making as my oldest daughter says she wants to come home for a visit.
Once the bedroom is tidied we are then getting new doors fitted, as the last person who fitted my doors didn't fit them right. My brother we i haven't spoke to for around 25 years hung them, he is a joiner and by the mess he made of my doors not a very good one. Hubby works on a building site where the joiner had said he will hang them in payment hubby can do a job for him. Saves us a fortune. Will be nice being able to close a door and it stays closed.
Hubby is hoping to find time at the end of the week to strip the wallpaper of our bedroom wall. That may not happen as he is expecting a phone call from the surgeon tomorrow morning to talk about hubby's hernia operation. He could be going in very soon as the hernias are causing him a lot of pain. After the operation he has to do nothing for around 8 weeks, him siting handing us orders will be so annoying. Once he is well again i will make sure he makes it up to us hahaha,
