Luna is home after her operation. 🐕‍🦺 😷 I can relax now. 😌😁

I have been dreading today for weeks now its here I want it over and done with. I was hoping I could sleep away the day, my head was to full of what's happening and worry.

My youngest pup Luna is at the Vets today to be neutered. We usually have our dogs neutered whilst they are still young, we have had to wait as the Pandemic pushed things back a while. Luna is over 2, the vets like to have then in earlier. Whilst in Pandemic. She was taken in just after 11 am as she has seperation anxiety. When she went in she was clinging to hubby, they had to give her a sedative to calm her. She was home around 4, the Vets thought she was lovely but very needy. She hasnt stopped missing since she got home, , she a bad patient.

We were expecting her to come home with a cone around her neck to stop her getting at her stitches, now they tell you to buy baby growers which is a much better idea and more comfortable for the pup, plus she looks so cute wearing it.

She is very sleepy but fighting it, when she closes her eyes she quickly opens them again and checks we are here. I am so glad this is over and she's home, it will take a couple of days keeping a close eye on her and making sure she is on the bend. We asked the Vet to also take a look in her ears as shes having a few problems with scratching then, I've cleaned them but still having problems. My poor little girl has got a ear infection to deal with aswell. We have drops for her ears. I think I may need help after paying the bill. £250.00 gone.

The bad news continues, hubby gets home with Luna after her trip to the Vets then says the brake pads on the car are failing, the car needs to be fit for hubby especially with the Winter coming. Hubby took the car to the garage we use bringing the car back after new brake pads and another £60 gone.

Now my baby is home, the car is fixed I can sit and relax with my little pup until she is feeling better. We have had to hide all her toys and not to give her anything to pay with until this is over as she could start nesting having a phantom pregnancy. She will have to rest and not jump up onto the sofa and bed, she will need lifting and carried up the stairs. I think she is going to love the attention.

Its nearly bedtime, I have some Chicken cooking for the dogs, I want to give Luna some warm Chicken before bed as she hasnt ate much today plus the warmth may help her throat, she keeps having to clear her throat probably due to the pipe they put down her throat, the warm Chicken just might soothe it.
