Have you ever had the feeling of been bored? You just feel you’ve done everything and there’s nothing new or exciting to do or you just don’t feel motivated to do something. The feeling of general weakness, no drive to do anything, sometimes it makes you lose your appetite while for others it makes them eat too much.

I’m not an expert in the field of psychology nor have I read extensively or studied such stuff in school. Am just your regular everyday guy putting out everyday things we can to cure boredom and am going to be doing it in a series of post to help people cure their boredom doing everyday stuff they didn’t know could help.

You are not only

No matter how busy you may think you are, at some point in life or once in a while, people have this feeling of boredom because they have been or keep repeating the same routine over and over again for a very long time. They’re used to waking up the same time everyday have the same activities in the morning before leaving for work, get to the office and repeat the same office duties they have been doing for many years and when the close from work the repeat the same activities at home before going to bed.

At some point you just get tired. Men! It ain’t easy. Just know that you are not alone. At some point or the other in our lives this thing called boredom hits us and we need to know what to do to get rid of it.

Visit to the City Centre

The first time my wife and I visited the UK, we were so bored because had a lot of time on our hands but didn’t plan fully how we’ll spend it. Don’t get me wrong, we planned our travel but our plans just didn’t take up all the available time we had.

We didn’t have friends and relatives in Newcastle and making new friends wasn’t an easy thing to do and it would require a lot of time and commitment for the relationship to work out positively. One of the things we did to relieve our boredom was to visit the Newcastle City Centre.

What is in a City Centre?

According to the Collins dictionary the City Centre is the busiest part of a city, where most of the shops and businesses are. And true to the definition, that was what we saw at the Newcastle City Centre, it was very busy and a lot of activities were going on which ended up per-occupying your mind.

There were loads of activities going on at the city centre, we saw armature musicians playing different songs, we saw puppeteers putting smiles on peoples face, we had people walking and looking at their phones without noticing obstacles on the road or walk way and we had laughs when they bump into it, we saw company marketers trying to sell you one product or service and the list goes on and on.

You can get a lot of inspiration just by sitting and watching people walk by. You can get a lot of laughs from funny things that happen all around you, you can get free music entertainment although you should drop a nickel or so to encourage the people or person playing. All in all, you should be inspired and lifted with your boredom all gone by the time you’re set to leave the city centre.

Conclusion

The solutions I’ll prefer are just common everyday things we do at one some point to overcome boredom. But not everybody knows this and bringing them out here can help someone here on Steemit.
