7 ways you can spot liars according to their body language Read more

Unless you’re a trained liar or natural psychopath, your body language will most likely give you away when lying.

There are no people who always say the truth. We all lie about 200 times a day. Is it possible to recognize a liar without humiliating data verification and a lie detector? At least you can try. The main thing is that you should remember that there are no rules without exception.

We do not want to fall into the tricks of swindlers, buy a poor-quality product or make a deal with a dishonest person. Many methods used by the police and forensic psychologists to recognize liars can be useful to people of other professions, for example, managers or employers, and anyone who does not want to be deceived.

Psychologists who study deception , argue that there is no reliable way to be convicted of lies, since lying is not a separate psychological process with its unique behavioral indicators . However , if you know several behaviors that are typical to liars, you will be able to spot them :
#1. Liars often change their voice or voice tone. A person can lie, if he suddenly changed his voice. This is noticeable.

#2. Every lie makes a person stress inside. So, if you see that a person suddenly began to lick his lips, this can be a sign of a lie.

#3. A liar often uses phrases that can make him sound more confident. For example, to tell the truth or you can believe me.

#4. A person who is lying can sweat a lot. If you notice sudden sweating, this can be a liar.

#5. A liar can make long pauses in his speech. Sometimes, he needs this to think what to add to his speech.

#6. A person who is lying can use a lot of body moves. For example, he can often touch his hair, or some parts of his face.

#7. A liar does not like to look into his opponents eyes for long. If you see that person’s eyes are running, this is a sign of a liar.
