RE: RESIST

in #life6 years ago (edited)

@firedream I am sorry but I don't think I can actively participate in the resistance. It seems the bot owners would want to free ride on any interventions. And I just dont understand why we would subsidize non GC compliant upvotes which seems like only way to resist is make his intervention just destroy lots of money while making GC net effect zero so actors can just ignore, but the real price would have to be over what the people even send since not just the cost of of the bid, but the opportunity cost of just using a substitute and not having your money locked up as long as it takes for a refund which is unknown until GV strikes so some time value loss to money advantage to the nature of the GC intervention. But if bot owners are not willing to pay such cost then completely pointless to reward them that for free to what real benefit?

I'll be honest I was making a killing for a few days getting 6day upvotes like10-30% returns which is like exponential growth, which it is anyways, but much shorter interval. It was great would love to go back to that for a bit so I can make a killing. But perhaps that is non sustainable, it would cause inflation and devalue steem/sbd by having a significant expansion in the money supply (at least for one special group of actors) without a concurrent and sufficient expansion in utility which, is just whatever people who value steem value.

If I can help promote cool stuff or cool things you are doing do not hestitate to ask me for a resteem or a like. Hope the weekend has been going well for you bud!!

@learnguitar, I understand you. The question is, why do not bot owners protect their customers?
I have contacted with sneaky-ninja on the issue to see if I can achieve a quick solution by convincing him.
The result is negative.
But there is a loss of innocent people with fresh posts.
We all have the habbit to wait for the solution from a center since decentralization is new for all of us.
In decentralization, to prevent the rules to be put by the bullies, we have to get organized and change the game.
Thank you for your support. Anything counts.

FD.

Moar like this!

I have just been attacked. I upvoted with sneaky-ninja 10 mins after posting and still got flagged.
I can't post my point of view right now but I will join this resistance by Monday.
Expect my post to be massively seen. GrumpyCat IS a Bully, I did nothing wrong and had no idea this bot was "non-compliant". No warning, just 3 downvotes...

We started resisting and you are invited!
Check this link, spread the word and join us if you would agree.

Here's the thing. What really hurts the reward pool are whales like @grumpycat. @grumpycat likes to take the moral high ground allowing people to take his side and allow him to continue his abuse.

Whales could simply self-vote (like @grumpycat) and abuse the rewardpool. However, they figured "Hey! Instead of just growing bigger and bigger while snuffing out minnows, why don't I just give them a chance by letting them buy my vote?"

In an act of mercy, whales seeing the huge problem that is upon our economy started using voting bots. Yes, they're making a killing from SBD; however, it's not nearly as much as if they just self voted. So you see, the rewards are more spread out in the pool thanks to voting bots.

How is @grumpycat hurting things

Well, @grumpycat likes to attack rewards 6.5 days after post. This returns rewards back to the pool. This doesn't benefit steemians. It benefits @grumpycat. Why? Because @grumpycat is abusing the reward pool. While voting bots distribute rewards to users, @grumpycat consolidates them again undoing the benefit of voting bots.

So you all that think @grumpycat is helping because he claims he's going after scammers and abusers, he is the real abuser and collecting all the rewards. It's a con people.

More obvious example (If all whales were like @grumpycat)

Just imagine all the voting bots are gone and whales do what @grumpycat does (self vote). There's barely any rewards left in the pool for minnows, and no way for minnows to increase their rewards. Then what? Think about it.
