In 1913, Civil War veterans met in Gettysburg to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the battle that took place there.

Over 50,000 Union and Confederate soldiers were killed, wounded or captured on the farmland located in Pennsylvania.
It is considered to have one of the highest "deaths per acre" count among the war.

An angry Vietnamese mob was waiting for him. He was stripped and beaten.
