My wife has been asking me this question many times since we got our two boys.
She is from the Philippines and there its tradition to circumcise the boys.
I keep telling her that its the boys decision when they are old enough.
My personal opinion is that it's a pointless procedure that serves no purpose.
I would like to know what you guys think?
Me personally I didn’t to my kids but its not in my beliefs to do so. I think thats a good decision yo let them grow up and decide themselves if its not in your personal beliefs to do so as a child.
Well, medically circumcision has it's benefits as well as setbacks. Pros and cons kind of.
When you leave a child uncircumcised, it increases the risk of infection. The folds of prepuce covering the phallus harbors microorganisms that can lead to multiple infections.
Research has shown although that circumcision reduces sexual pleasure and excitement.
Personally, I think you should leave it for the kids to decide though when they are grown if it's not against your religion or culture.
I know people though who get circumcised in adulthood and I think it's more torturous then. The child easily forgets the pain after circumcision but an adult might not.

There are strong points in favour and opposing it. They say it reduces the risk of sexually transmitted disease by 50 per cent or more. But that's only if you decide to lead a promiscuous life. I would personally recommend it to leave it to the kid to decide when he's an adult. However, I understand It could be more daunting for an adult to go through that process.
I think that in ancient times the hygienic needs (especially in hot climates), and then, probably, became and religious practices. I'm neither for nor against circumcision, I don't care. If someone thinks he should be circumcised (whether yourself or children), then that's his decision.
If he decides later in life that thats what he wants he can get the procedure done even if its more painfull he cant get it undone so i wouldnt make the decision for them.
Not quite the same but for instance most of my family are catholics but due to lets just say a complicated family history I was never christened and im very happy about it as i grew up to be a person despising the general idea of religion as a if not a source of evil than as a mob control mechanism
In my opinion I wouldn't. I would leave that decision when my child becomes an adult. Altering the human body on children for our personals agendas just doesn't seem right. Also our sexual organs holds immense power. ( It creates life lol ) , but there is a strong connection to our THIRD EYE. Before clothes would you want to be circumcised in the wild lol.
