Our lives are full of ups and downs. It is full of surprises , challenges, struggles , love , sorrow, achievements and pain . It's up to us to decide how we want live our life to it's fullest , the way desire our lives to be . Sometimes it's difficult to achieve what we desire. Sometimes we have to struggle our way to success . It's lifes way of testing us , by making our lives challenging. It teaches us to overcome our fears , insecurities etc ,to achieve what we wish for .
All of us experience major and minor life challenges. How we handle these struggles on a daily basis determines our physical,as well as our mental well being. Sometimes we feel like we have no control over our circumstances. Sometimes these challenges consume us with guilt, panic attacks, anxiety and pain. Our problems put pressure on us from every side, threatening to crush us or break us. It's up to us to decide whether to take it as a challenge and win or accept defeat and complain about it .

Hello friends, this post is about a story that I have read before and found it really inspirational. It teaches us to live our life by taking every problems in our way as a challenge and achieve what we desire without complaining about our struggles.
An aging master grew tired of his apprentice’s complaints.One morning, he sent him to get some salt.
The old Master instructed his apprentice to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and Then to drink it.
How does it taste? the Master asked. Awful, spat the apprentice.
The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake.
The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the lake, the old man said, Now drink from the lake. As the water dripped down the young man's chin, the Master asked, How does it taste?
Good! remarked the apprentice.
Do you taste the salt? asked the Master. No, said the young man.
The Master sat beside this troubled young man, took his hands, and said, "The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less.The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same. But the amount we taste the 'pain' depends on the container we put it into. So when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things."
Stop being a glass ,become a lake !!
I loved this story as it remindes about the importance of having a resourceful perspective to help us deal with the inevitable challenges that life brings us.
So ask yourself today , are you a lake or a glass?
