Children are heritage from the Lord ( psalm 127:3) and so must be properly taken care of. As a mother, your children should
have priority over your work or other house chores . Now let's hear the story of how the negligence of a mother caused
pain to her child. This story was told by a friend in another school,so i decided to share for us to learn from it.
A child in grade 1 was dragged down from the car all the way to the class by her own mum, with all tears. The mother
refused to give any reasonable explanation why the child was crying. Hear what the mother said to the teacher " don't
mind her,she is being naughty, she doesn't want to come to school and is only using leg pain as an excuse ". In the class
the child was screaming at intervals, crying uncontrollably. She couldn't participate in any activity in the class. The class
mates chanted the usual anthem," sorry,you will be fine". it was time for tea break, she let out another scream, this time
stamping her feet on the floor, scattering everything around her.

Now her teacher understood that it was no longer a joke, some thing must be wrong. She asked her what the problem was
and she answered, " my leg" The teacher beckoned on her to come but noticed that she couldn't move, her leg was
stretched out, looking stiff. The teacher walked over to her and told her to point to the exact place but she kept crying, my
shoes! my shoes!!. The teacher had to take her shoes off and tapped it on the floor, turning it upside down probably to get
sand out of the shoes, lo and behold what the eye saw the ear couldn't hear it, it was not really sand but a BLACK
SCORPION that fell out of the shoe.

What a shock! what a fear!
The teacher mustered courage and killed the scorpion with the help of the cleaners. Obviously , it is not the case of
panadol or paracetamol, so the school rang the mother to come over. The child had to be cut up and fast too before taking
her to hospital. At this time,her eyes had changed, the spot where the scorpion stung had turned to black and the leg was
already stiff, what a great pain ! Who knows if she would survive it. Oh! what a careless mother. How could a parent drop a
child at school without running a proper check on uniforms, shoes and content of bag ? How can you neglect the
complains of your own child without ensuring that the child is fine?
This should be a lesson to all. Negligence has done more harm than good to our children
even to ourselves

My neighbor once told
me a similar story how she was stung by a scorpion after wearing her shoes, not knowing that it was inside the shoe before
putting her leg. Careless and negligence has become a cancker worm that has eaten many people. No matter how
occupied we might be let's not neglect the important things in life even the rules of steemit. Run proper check on your
environment, your family, the group you belong to, etc, before going out for work, business, etc and when coming in look around also.
