Dear Lighthouse - Poem by Annette Potgieter
Thank you for your reassuring light
throughout the raging night
Your soothing presence
Made drowning graceful
Sinking slowly to Oceans' resting place
You were close enough to bring hope
Far enough to leave saving to the Saviour
Calm and gentle
And ever silent
As lighthouses tend to be
I release you
My steadfast noble lighthouse
And I salute you
