Keep dreaming!

in #life7 years ago

Good evening, friends of steemit, today I have an anecdote that I would like to share with you. I am a person who always tends to dream when I fall asleep and rarely happens to me that I can not remember what I dreamed. So I ask myself why do we dream? Or what is the function in us to dream? Let's talk a little more about this topic in which I believe not only I am curious but also many people in the whole world and So I think it seems to be something very common.

Let us begin by defining a little of what dreams are: they are mental manifestations of images, sounds, thoughts and sensations in a sleeping individual, and usually related to reality.

According to neuroscience we dream to remove information we do not need. During sleep the brain removes what it does not need to not saturate it, in a common day we can store approximately more than 6 million gb of information through more than 6 thousand neural connections known as synapses.

Synaptic activity helps our brain learn new things and the more activities we have, the deeper our dream will be. Now we know why we can not remember. Everything we do during the day: your mind forgets it intelligently.

This is important because if we could not dream, our brain would be filled with so much information that it would be impossible to follow after one day.

Let's keep in mind that the brain never forgets. Every day and every hour we receive information, that's why we can not overheat it, since it stores the information but never erases it, it only concentrates on the now and stores the past for later.

When we dream, our brain tries to solve the problems that keep us busy during the day. That is why sleeping can be the result or the solution to problems that we can not solve.

In addition, the dream almost always reflects everything that keeps our mind occupied, including our fears and our desires.

According to Freud (father of psychoanalysis) dreams are actions of desires and problems unsatisfied or repressed, later he realized that dreams could also be the manifestations of problems, worries and fears related to what happens to us during the day, this is the Reason why we dream so often with people of whom we feel affectionately united as: our parents, brothers or friends.

However, this is one of the few answers to the question of "Why do we dream?" But the reality is that neither the web pages nor millions of studies that can be done can tell us exactly all the doubts we have about sleep. That you liked...

Sweet dreams!
