One more week has passed at the cruise ship. I now only have three weeks left in Finland before taking the flight to Los Angeles and starting a new chapter of my life studying acting in Long Beach, California. And I have still not found a place to live! I am even considering buying a RV and living in it for a year, that would make traveling around California so much easier. And I could get a decent RV for cheaper than renting a room for a year!
But there are some problems with living in a RV, e.g. I do not know where I could park it, the trailer parks are all really expensive in that area and finding a parking spot on the streets might be difficult and dangerous. So for now I am sticking to trying to find a room in someones apartment. (Any tips about vacant rooms in Long Beach are appreciated!)
I am feeling much more relaxed about moving than I thought I would. Even though I was quite anxious earlier in spring, my main feeling at the moment is (a bit nervous) excitement. I love adventures and finding myself in completely new situations and now after being stationary in Turku, Finland for about three years it feels like I am ready to begin my next journey.
The things that frightened me in spring do not feel as frightening anymore. Especially not on a day like this when the ocean is almost completely still and I am on my way home into the arms of my loving boyfriend.

I will soon do a longer post about why I was anxious about moving away and how I have been dealing with those feelings of anxiety.
Beutifull...
Thank you!

Good wishes for absolute luck sent from me to you to find that perfect parking or rental room. I hear RV'n is the rave in Southern CA but have no idea about where they park maybe you google it or youtube.
Hi, thanks! I will definitely check it out :) it would be really nice to have a home that I could also travel in!
I don't know why but I always wanted to live in an RV, it definitely makes a lot more sense. By this time you might have found some good place, so wishing you all the very best for your future and cheers to a good start @mialinnea
Hi, I haven't found anything yet.. I would also love to live in an RV, but I think that with all the living costs it might be more expensive than renting an apartment..
