Today i'm going to tell you about the importance of radio in our lives.
Radio is one of the wonders of modern science.It plays a very important role in influencing our lives.Especially in rural areas, radio has become a part and parcel of lives. It is supposed that in rural areas no life can be stimulated and excited without radio. It is absolutely and completely true that radio is a means of entertainment.It has been entertaining people for many years. It broadcasts different kinds of amusing programmes such as songs, dramas, films and many other cultural performances. By listening and enjoying these, we are having entertained.
Radio is a means of communication.With the help of radio we can communicate with each other.We can be aware of happening happenings of the country as well as of the world.We can communicate these happenings with each other whether these are good or bad.So, its importance as a means of communication can not be denied in the true sense of the term.
Radio broadcast educational programmes.By listening to educational programmes, we can acquire knowledge and can remove our ignorance.So, its educative value can not be denied in the true sense of the term in our pragmatic life.
Radio also broadcasts news.It broadcasts native or foreign news.The news may be social, political, economical, cultural or of games and sports.In a word, it broadcasts all the happenings of the country as well as of the world.We are heavily benefited by listening to the news of radio.
Radio also forecasts weather. We can be aware of the condition of weather by listening to the radio. If the weather is bad, we can take preparatory measures to save our lives.
Radio broadcasts different types of programmes including social, political cultural, economical, religious, meteorological, historical or any other programmes.Almost all the programmes have impact on our lives.The programmes talk about our problems and side by side give us solutions.Some programmes make us laugh, some cry while some other programmes make us excited and stimulated.
Radio plays very important role in informing us of games and sports. Its commentator show comments about games and sports very beautifully wherever they are held. The sports lovers are aware of games and sports by listening to the radio.
In fine, we can say that radio not only gives us entertainment but also knowledge. Its necessity can not be ignored in our lives.
