I partly agree with what you say.
I don’t think there is much freedom living in a rented place as some of the landlords are unexpectedly cruel. Moreover the rent we are paying is not making us any money as opposed to the house which usually grows in value overtime.

Is it more important to have your freedom and dignity or added money? If you're in a house in a toxic environment then how much is it worth for you to be mobile? If you're renting and have a bad landlord you can leave.
