What is the paradoxical trend in the data?
The image below clearly shows what the paradox is, there is an overall decrease in both the year but an effective increase overall but how?
Let us take another look at the data set using another image what exactly is happening in both the years
The second image gives us an idea of what is happening in the second year, the purple dots converting in to green dots. But the values of both the data set in comparison to their previous year's value is low but effectively median has shifted its position
Finally the last image will provides an effective answer to the problem
The reason i shared this paradox with you is because in life we face an almost similar paradox where everyday we gain something but it seems that we know a lot less than what we used to know or had in the past.
