(Original and plain soy pudding with simple sugar syrup)
The soy pudding or soya beancurd is silky and soft. It's one dessert that I enjoy a lot as it can be eaten hot or cold.

The flavour is greatly enhanced with a simple sugar syrup. These days, most vendors provide an option of either white sugar syrup or a boiled concoction of brown sugar, fresh ginger and water.

Enterprising vendors are coming up with different flavours of soy pudding as well. At one recent potluck gathering, a friend brought a pot of soy pudding flavoured with pandan. I have also seen prepacked corn and strawberry soy pudding in a refrigerated counter at a food court. I have only tasted the plain and pandan soy pudding. I prefer the original plain version anytime.

We always order soya beancurd or soy pudding whenever we have tim sum brunch at Bo Lings.
I have never tried soya pudding..i may try making it :)
