Ledakan di sebuah masjid di Provinsi Khost, Afghanistan, menewaskan setidaknya 17 orang dan melukai 34 lainnya, Minggu (6/5). Serangan ini jadi yang terbaru di antara serangkaian aksi terorisme jelang pemilihan umum parlementer yang telah lama tertunda.
Basir Bina, juru bicara kepolisian daerah setempat, menyatakan orang-orang tengah berkumpul setelah salat ashar di masjid saat insiden terjadi. Tempat beribadah itu juga digunakan sebagai pusat pendaftaran untuk pemilu parlementer yang telah lama tertunda dan bakal digelar pada Oktober.
