It wasn't until I was laid off from 'corporate America' that I discovered a love for painting. Furniture was my canvas initially until my husband suggested I try a smaller medium, cigar boxes. Each piece takes on it's own personality and I get to work in many mediums from paper to paint to beads and baubles. Now I'm obssessed! Hopefully I can sell a few or my closet is going to be full with these little beauties! Thanks for looking. :)
They are certainly interesting and attractive enough for selling.
It might be a good idea to find a shop where the owner is interested and will be enthusiastic. Keep in mind tht the cost of making them has little to do with value. If you can be promoted as being an artist...you can charge enough to reward the shop owner well enough for her/him (or whatever else) ...to be enthusiastic.
Another avenue to explore. Keep in mind that small newspapers are always looking for articles to fill up their pages. Don't ask, offer to be interviewed, if they are positive and can include a photo of what you create...
Thanks arthur.grafo, this is great advice!
