Life is full of small pleasures, that can sometimes be missed. And maybe to help be happy in life, we need to notice these small things and appreciate them.
Like the beauty of the sun shining through someones red hair, or bouncing off of their freckles and cheekbones.
Admiring the chalk drawings a six year old has drawn on the path as you rush down the road. Or scoffing at a piece of modern art, exclaiming that a six year old could do better.
Wallowing in a hot bath, feeling the silky water lap around you whilst watching netflix. The sweet smell of bath products intoxicating the stress away.
Allowing tears of frustration, of sadness, love or happiness roll down your face, making you feel better than you did before you let your emotions out.
Indulging in salted dark chocolate with caramel sauce.
Listening to compliments and stop trying to bat them away.
The feeling of giddiness when the boredom or lonliness has stopped.
The euphoric split second when you hear the opening beats to a guilty pleasures song on your playlist shuffle.
The days that you can get through without a single cup of coffee.
Enjoying the feel of small vibrations as you use your phone to tap out a quick blog as the thoughts come into your head.
