***Excessive stress or experiencing emotional states that are unstable can increase the appetite or easily feel hungry.***

Easy to feel hungry is a condition commonly experienced by some people. Certain foods like sugary drinks, sweets, and pastries can not provide enough energy for the body, causing the body to hunger faster again. Here are some other things that can affect the body so easily hungry:

  • Experiencing excessive stress
When under stress, the body secretes cortisol hormones that increase the desire to eat. The body also decreases the production of adrenaline hormone in charge of eliminating hunger. Appetite will return to normal when stress is lost.
  • The body needs water intake
Dehydration or lack of fluids can cause the body to think need to consume food. Meet the fluid needs first to find out the actual body needs.
  • Increased glukosa of blood
Eating sugary foods such as donuts, pastries, or soda will provide a lot of sugar intake in the body. This causes the body to release the hormone insulin that helps cells use sugar as fuel or stored. High sugar intake causes the body to produce more insulin than is needed. This condition can lower blood sugar too much and cause hunger.
  • Symptoms of diabetes
One of the symptoms of diabetes is polyphagia or a condition of the body that is experiencing extreme hunger. This is because the body cells do not get the nutrients that should be used as a combustion material for energy formation.
  • Lack of glukosa of blood levels
When the body suffers from a deficiency in blood, the body does not have enough fuel to form energy. This condition can cause the body feels tired, weak, or dizzy.
  • Pregnancy
In some people, pregnancy can cause hunger throughout the day. Women who are pregnant generally feel "cravings" or want a new or preferred food. Consult a pharmacist or physician for a pregnancy test.
  • Eat too fast
Eating too fast causes not giving enough time for the body to realize that it is full. Enjoy food slowly and with small pieces.
  • See or smell something delicious.
It is almost everyone's experience. Indeed, in fact, if the sense of smell catches a delicious aroma it will send a signal to our brain and the result we will feel hungry, though maybe not long ago eat food.
  • Unstable emotions
Having an emotion such as feeling upset, bored, sad, or depressed will cause a person to seek an outlet by eating. Do your favorite activities to relieve stress and make sure that you are hungry when you want to consume food.
  • Has overactive thyroid hormones
Overactive thyroid hormone can cause the body to feel tired, nervous, moody, and hungry all the time. Consult your doctor especially if you have thyroid problems.
  • Drug side effects are consumed
Some drugs can affect appetite. Especially some drugs used to treat depression or mood disorders combined with antihistamines, antipsychotics, and corticosteroids.
  • Do not have quality sleep
Sleep deprivation can alter hormonal balance thus increasing the desire to eat more. This condition can also consume snacks that contain high calories and fat.

Take control of your hunger and appetite by exercising or by eating healthy foods.
