ANGER AND WHY YOU MUST LET IT GO

In summary, anger is a strong feeling of displeasure, hostility or antagonism towards someone or something, usually combined with an urge to harm. There are those who are simply hot tempered and easily get angry or upset over issues. And there are the patient and calm ones who can endure displeasure to a reasonable extent. Which ever group you belong to, one thing is for sure, we all have our 'elastic limits', that point when you can't help it but get angry. I do not want to completely dismiss this emotion (anger), because you see, every human emotion is necessary in making us complete. If you are the type that always smiles and apologizes when people wrong you, chances are, you are going to be taken for granted. People tend to take advantage of your patience.

Sometimes, a person has to stand up for themselves, get a little angry and demand for the right thing to be done. But in all this, we must be cautious not to let the anger take the better part of us. A person who is consumed by anger becomes blinded to reason and logic. They tend to make decisions they live to regret. So then, it is more about how we manage our anger than the mere fact of getting or not getting angry. I always say that anger must be expressed, for when it is buried inside, it ends up taking the better part of us. Express anger more positively by confronting the cause, having a healthy dialogue, conversation and talking things out with the other person.

Because for all you know, the person you are angry with doesn't even know you are angry with them. Talking things out prevents similar incidences in the future. I will end here by sharing some word by Joel Osteen and Ralph Waldo Emerson respectively.

Every day we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you're doing when you indulge these negative emotions is giving something outside yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you.
For every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace of mind.
