A Failed attempt at Introducing myself ......

Hello,

This being the first blog that i have ever attempted writing in my life its obvious i had to screw up something in it and as the MURPHY's law states"WHEN SOMETHING HAS TO GO WRONG IT WILL GO WRONG" ..i posted my intro in the wrong tag ...so bear with me and consider this as an extention to my intro .

I AM A DOCTOR

To be specific an otorhinolaryngologist , that means i am doctor who specializes in disease or problems of the ear, nose, throat and head & neck region.FYI- Brain and eyes are not included in my speciality they are the neurosurgeon and ophthamologist.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

To begin with, it all started as a small boy playing with a white toy car with red cross sign on it and like all Indian parents mine too started procrastinating with this one play hour saying our son will be a doctor,but what did i know playing with cars can be so dangerous and that procrastination will soon become dreams and ambitions of my parents to see me in a white coat .

WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE

Turns out at the end of it, i did have it in me to become one. Well and so began my journey into medicine in mangalore and specialisation in otorhinolaryngology in the silicon city Bengaluru. having studied medicine in fancy cities no one expected me to land up in small town/village - but my urge to learn newer things and will to treat the poor ,made in land in rural Andhra Pradesh serving the populous off over 150 villages and 4 districts of Rayalseema fyi that actually means the royal land .

The process of 10 years to become a specialist doctor can be pain staking and hard but the happiness one gets when ailing patient thanks you for paying attention to them and treating their problems is unmeasurable. There are times when just simple reassuring words and a smile to worried anxious patients work like a charm and these small achievements just make your day. A simple thank you , a gesture of a kind smile, just elates your mood and makes you do more for the them. Money is a by product and necessary for the functioning 0f the system but respect and love is something that is actually earned.

WHAT ARE THE OTHER JOYS

Things other than medicine that really fascinate me are flying an aircraft(which i haven't done yet) , space ,cooking ,growing a garden, cars and after my recent experience bikes, hopefully more blogs to come on these subjects sooner than latter.

WHAT ARE MY FALLACIES

No man is flawless and so am i ,my list of fallacies are huge but to name a few

Watching too many HBO series
Procastinating
Overindulgence
Lazy at times
Over eating at times

Hopefully by years end will overcome these too ...
