Happy Holi, SteemIt!!!
Many of you have probably seen this festival of colors, where colored powder is thrown everywhere!
Holi is a festival in India where you celebrate by throwing powdered color around. The reason for the celebration is from Hindu mythology, where good finally defeats evil.
During this holiday there are many traditions, but they vary from family to family. My family always where Indian clothes and we put color on each other.
Then my mom makes our favorite indian food - mine is Pav Bhaji which is toasted buns and a potato/vegetable medley. YUM!
We then visit our family and friends houses and play with color and sometimes even water. In our town, we have huge celebrations with water guns, different colors, and lots of dancing. It's truly a blast.
