There was a tweet by Elon Musk that costs Samsung nearly $580m where as assisting Panasonic to gain over $800m over a single trading day.
There was a rumor that Tesla cars are discussing a deal with Samsung SDI a subsidiary component making unit of the Samsung empire, to produce electric battery for Tesla model 3 cars. But Elon Tweet that tesla is not considering anything with Samsung rather they are partnering with Panasonic for the acceleration of the model. He tweeted “Would like to clarify that Tesla is working exclusively with Panasonic for Model 3 cells. News articles claiming otherwise are incorrect.
After the tweet Samsung share dipped by 8% in Korean stock exchange which is estimated as roughly $580m whereas Panasonic stock in tokyo market went up pretty high. The estimated gain was in nearly $800m.
