TWO LEVEL OF SUCCESS
There is a difference between success as a person and success as an event.
You wrote an examination and passed, that was an event. However, let us take the event away.
Who are you? What is the state of your heart?
Success is the achievement of goals. If you set a goal to earn a hundred thousand dollars in sixty days and you achieve it by defrauding someone, have you succeeded? Well, you achieved your goal, so you achieved success as an event.
But as a person, you are a fraud.
TWO STANDARDS OF FAILURE.
There is also a difference between failure as a person and failure as an event. The problem we have today is that many people are converting failure as an event into failure as a person.
The fact that you wrote an examination and failed does not make you a failure. It was the event that was a failure.
I want to suggest that from today, you do not internalize your failure. You are not what you have done, you are not what you have, you are who God says you are.
