I was 10 when he died. I will never forget Dad coming home from work and telling Mum the news. There was this incredulity and shock in his voice I hadn't heard before. It's what makes me remember it. Dad was more a Stones fan, but Mum waa Beatles, and growing up in that era they both were shocked at the news.

It seems that whenever someone tries to bring people together, they get killed. There are sectors out there that feast on destruction and divisiness. John's message of peace will win in the end.

Yeah fighting for peace and justice and such does seem to make you a target.
