I agree completely. But I think a little bit of it has to do with less real interactions with people.
Social media was created to socialize or interact with people but it has done completely the opposite. It has restricted the real connections with people.
I live in a place where there's constant restrictions to internet, and I speak from experience that it feels much better when you don't have to care about where your phone is.
I spent more time with my family and was relatively happier.
