Focusing on Grace

The mountain in front of you usually isn't literal rock. It just feels that way. It's the pile of work, bills, and expectations of others you have to deal with. It's the ongoing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual challenges you're facing. It's the wounds of the past, and uncertainties of the future.

"The angel said to me, 'This is the word of the Lord to you: "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit," says the Lord of hosts. "What is that great mountain? It shall become a plain. You shall bring forth the capstone (complete this journey) with shouts of 'Grace, grace!' " ' " (Zech. 4:6–7).

"Grace, grace." That's what you say to the mountain. You see it with God's grace, you deal with it from His grace, and you live in His grace, no matter what you’re facing. Grace is the empowering presence of God that enables you to become all He sees in you.

It may feel like God hasn't been there for you, because your feelings of fear, inadequacy, and self–pity have been looking for Him to console your old nature. But with all the grace you need, He's comforting, encouraging, and equipping your new one—the one that thrives in His presence. The one that lives in His love, joy, peace, hope, wisdom, and faith. The one that knows what's in front of you can't be overcome by your own strength, but by His Spirit.

You are who Jesus says you are. You can accomplish all He sees in you. And in His grace, you have authority over every mountain in your way.
