Hello STEEMIT! For the last 2 weeks, we have learned about various foreign residency models and financial funding models adapted by different NGOs. Before we move on to our next topic, we’d like to take some time to briefly review all of our previous posts.
3 foreign residency models:
- Long-term resolution: This model focuses on generating a sustainable system and a tenable infrastructure..
- Short-term aid: This model provides temporary support and leaves.
- Repetitive project based support: This model works on a project-to-project basis by staying, providing aid, leaving, and coming back again when in need of help.
10 financial funding models:
- Heartfelt Connector: This model obtains funding by targeting a general audience with a matching concern and interest.
- Beneficiary Builder: This model relies on a pool of specific individuals who have directly benefited from the same service, for donation.
- Member Motivator: This model builds on individual donations from members who benefit from the resolution of a specific issue.
- Big Better: This model is reliant on major grants from few sources for a single, important issue.
Public Service Provider: This model aims at improving essential social services through government outsourcing. - Policy Innovator: This model focuses on essential social issues that the government does not aid, and convinces the government for support by finding an effective solution.
- Beneficiary Broker: This model links beneficiaries with government funded services based on funds from government agencies, corporations, and foundations.
- Resource Recycler: This model receives donations from corporations or individuals in the form of goods and distribute them to needy recipients.
- Market Maker: This model connects altruistic donors willing to pay for a particular service to a market.
- Local Nationalizer: This model attempts to solve specific issues based on individual or corporate donations and a nation-wide network.
For those who have consistently read all of our posts, the brief summary above would have been a good chance to review what we have learned so far. For those who have had a hard time understanding the summary above, please visit our blog and review our previous posts which provide a much detailed explanation for every model.
We hope the past two weeks have been helpful for all of you. We’ll come back next week with a new topic!
