So, here we are on my 3rd day on #steemit. I'm still excited to be here although I see some disappointing elements in the community! Don't get me wrong I must admit I was expecting some of it, but maybe not to this extend.
I won't comment on the ladies who choose to show off some naked skin in exchange of some upvotes (oh, I just did comment on this, didn't I?).
It's their body and they can choose to sell what they have available - at the end of the day we all choose to sell a part of our body, I just happen to have nothing picture-perfect to show, so I'll have to stick to my writing, however good or bad this might be. I just hope the community as a whole decides to downvote behaviors like this so that we don't turn steemit into a porn site.
What really stroke me, was the fact that what really gets upvoted is what gives other people power to get upvoted - so the curration system is partly flawed, although that was exactly what brought me here, as I believe content curration is the future of newsfeeds.
I'm not saying this is widespread! There are some really good posts getting upvoted, and at this level the community and the system works very well. But I do see that there are some fresh people (like myself, but I have different motives), who try to cheat the system and get upvotes to their content.
Not sure how young/old #steemit is, I just hope that this gets fixed by the community as a whole - by people who choose they want a platform to communicate and to read good currated content, not just to make a quick buck.
Is my content like this? Probably not, but I just don't give up!

Yea this is a problem in any site and really just in life. Sex sells and beautiful people get treated differently. It sucks that it's that way in life and in here, but don't be discouraged from finding success doing your own thing. Cheers!
