Hey guys, i was really excited as a steemnewbie after my introductory post and just wanted to get down to the business of making cool cash so i almost got carried away but then thanks to @isaria whose work for newbies reminded me of the culture of this community and @mrprecious for showing me this platform in order for me to share my insightful thought on the subject matter, follow me closely.
It's is often said that life sometimes doesn't give you what you deserve but what you decide;in other words, what you are able or willing to amass. I agree to this assertion to some reasonable extent by channelling it towards the priceless nature of VALUE.
According to the Oxford Dictionary of English, "Value is how much something is worth not just in monetary terms but in other goods for which it can be exchanged". Its place cannot be overemphasized because it has to do with the level of relevance and the quality of being useful and important. It comes in various forms such as skills/abilities, the services you render,your bank of knowledge, the needs you meet especially that which people or organization can't do without that makes you indispensable. As much as life is a journey of influence, I believe life is also a journey of value, after all, they work hand in hand because the wealth of value you've spent time in adding to yourself in the long run helps you and determines how successful you would become.
The concepts of value and influence are inseparable, little is the surprise that a person who has nothing to offer can hardly exercise reasonable or major influence as he probably might have dreamt of. An individual that is diligent, effective and efficient in his dealings would not stand before mere men; that is, there would always be people that are willing to pull any strings in making sure to get his services. It is pertinent to know that where value is added, distance is never a barrier. This is why some of the richest men in the world will never be looked down on not because of their net-worth but value. It will intrigue you to know that their value is never in their net-worth or the position they occupy in the wealthy men chart, it is in their source of wealth; what their companies sell out to people and the needs they meet, the value and quality of the services they render to humanity; for example, Bill Gates and co may never run out of Microsoft clients/users, the connection is that strong.
In conclusion i will end this post by admonishing that as you engage in your daily endeavors, there should be a delibrate effort towards growing yourself. By doing so, your value shall be inestimable like the water in the picture below because the fountain never dries.
