Just Breath.

Just breath. Take a deep breath and calm yourself. Just breath and...color!! ha-ha Coloring calms me down. Some people tell me it is such a waste of time...maybe for them it is but for me it is very calming.

So today, I will breath and color!

What do you do to calm down? I'd like to know. I could use some more ideas in my tool box.

What do you do to calm down?

'Distractions' are almost always a useful means for switching gears to calm down. Some personal favorites include:

  • doodling whatever comes out with just a pen and paper (can't ctrl-z or erase)
  • word puzzles
  • 50 or 75 jumping jacks
  • partial or full epidermal exposure to cold water

Of course, the #1 way to calm down is in the title of the post. ☺
